Epstein bought a smaller island - the Little St James - originally in the late 1990s, but acquired the larger adjacent island in 2016 for around $22.5 million.
These photos suggest he had created development schemes to transform the substantial island by building homes, an amphitheatre, an underwater office and a reservoir.
You can see the plan is Pillsbury Sound, a waterway in the US Virgin Islands, indicated on the lower right-hand corner.
This development map is covered in notations in red and contains a key identifying distinct sections of the property.
Accompanying this are what seem to be nine other property layouts and construction drawings, including designs for boat shelters.
